cynical

Cynical is an adjective that is used to describe believing that people are generally dishonest and selfish, not taking other peoples considerations into concern. Purely motivated by self-interest. Pessimistic, distrustful of other.

Examples:

  1. She became more ‘cynical’ over the years, due to all of the bad that she believed had gone through.
  2. Due to the world becoming ‘cynical’ and less understanding, people have started to seclude and isolate there true and open selves.
  3. However following the previous sentence, there are people becoming awakened by the fact that the people in power want us to be ‘cynical’ in regards to one another and therefor are not obliging with that way of living.
