Bleak 1

Bleak is an adjective that is used for something that is dark, gloomy, somber, depressing, cold, raw. Not hopeful or encouraging.

Examples:

  1. The team look like they have no belief within them, when they come onto the field. Therefor it would only deem right to say their future looks ‘bleak’, unless we see a drastic change in their states.
  2. When you hit rock bottom, your life seems dark and ‘bleak’. However, in times like this, make conscious decisions to change your life for the better and never look back.
  3. A situation can be viewed as ‘bleak’, but simply change your perspective and the same situation is now a great opportunity.
