acquaint 1

Acquaint is a verb that when used, portrays increasing or decreasing awareness and familiarity. To inform, introduce, bring to light.

Examples:

  1. The purpose of university should be to ‘acquaint’ students with the real life skills needed to be successful and also it should open up the first set of doors for them to follow their passions.
  2. We should not simply be ‘acquainted’ with the constant new technology around us, but also we should be shown how to use it to our advantage.
  3. He ‘acquainted’ his family about his situation in order to receive help and support.
